Kiron Bloom
Kiron Bloom was born in South Africa and holds degrees from University of Witwatersrand Graduate School of Business (Johannesburg, South Africa) and the University of Cape Town. Ms. Bloom has a background in investor relations, strategic development, marketing, and communications. For the past ten years, Ms. Bloom has worked in the United States at companies such as Universal Media Publishing, Credit Suisse and Citigroup.
Jo Renee Fine, PhD
Jo Renee Fine, Ph.D., is the Director of Training and Content Development at Harris, Rothenberg International. She is a trainer and educator with over 30 years of program development and management experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Smith College and a Ph.D. in Human Relations and Social Policy from New York University, where she taught as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Education. She also is a published photographer whose work includes the photo-documentary book, The Synagogues of New York’s Lower East Side. Dr. Fine is involved in numerous community activities and currently serves or has served on the Board of Directors of several nonprofit organizations.
Sheree Hairston
Sheree Hairston has over twelve years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently employed at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. Mrs. Hairston holds a Masters in Public Health from New York Medical College.
Ashley Hufft, Esq.
Ashley Hufft, is a partner at the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP. She specializes in mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance, with a particular focus on investment into sub-Saharan Africa. In 2007, Ms. Hufft served as Project Manager of the Millennium Cities Initiative (MCI) in Kenya, under the direction of Professor Jeffrey Sachs. Prior to law school, Ms. Hufft was a first-grade teacher in Louisiana while serving as a Teach for America corps member. Ms. Hufft graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
John Monahan
John Monahan is the Executive Director of the Mosaic Institute, a Toronto-based foreign policy think tank. John joined the Mosaic Institute in September 2008 from the Government of Ontario, where he had served in a variety of roles, including Director of International Representation & Research with the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade. From 2002 to 2005, John was Ontario's Senior Economic Officer in New York City, where he established and ran the Ontario International Marketing Centre located at the Canadian Consulate-General. A lawyer by profession, John previously practiced labor, employment and immigration law with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP in Toronto. He has also had extensive experience in working with a wide variety of ethnocultural communities, and in facilitating and supporting their integration into Canada.
Laura J. C. Nurse
Laura J. C. Nurse has a background in is in education, psychology and business. She is especially passionate about education, having run a daycare center, taught every grade level, taught psychology at the university level and served as headmistress of a boarding school. Ms. Nurse was also a psychotherapist for a number of years working with adolescents and families. In the business sector, Nurse worked at NBC providing employee mental health services until she moved into sales management. Mrs. Nurse holds a B.A. and M.A. from Rhode Island University and completed her doctoral studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is currently retired.
Fredric M. Sanders, Esq.
Fredric M. Sanders, Esq. is a partner at the law firm of Cohen Tauber Spievack & Wagner P.C. where he concentrates on taxation for individual and corporate clients. Mr. Sanders is a director and officer of two publicly supported tax-exempt organizations and advises both private and publicly supported foundations on tax and related matters. Mr. Sanders graduated from Harvard Law School and received his undergraduate degree from Queens College.
Dorothy Tananbaum
Dorothy Tananbaum is Director of the Jewish Funders Network and serves as board member of the Israel Foundation and the UJA-Federation of New York. At UJA, Mrs. Tananbaum is Chair of the Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal.

Nelia Watten is an expert in international clothing manufacturing. She works on all aspects of product development and sourcing and collaborates with global teams from China, India, and the Middle East.
Kenneth Walker
Kenneth Walker is a business development professional with more than 20 years experience in for-profit and non-profit, sales management, strategic partnerships, start-up and marketing. He served as Project People Foundation consultant between 2004 and 2006, currently mentors students in both South Africa and Botswana and traveled to South Africa in 2007. Ken is currently Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Per Scholas, a non-profit organization in the Bronx that focuses on bridging the economic, skills and digital divide that currently exists in low-income communities.
