Project People Foundation (PPF) is pleased to announce that our mission of supporting education and economic development for women and youth now includes a targeted U.S. based initiative, The Giving Circle. While continuing our 22 year legacy of giving in Southern Africa, the PPF board is also investing in grassroots organizations in New York City that are aligned with our funding priorities and that pass a rigorous evaluation process.
"The staff of Project People Foundation have worked tirelessly for over a decade – through our transition from apartheid to democracy and now in the rise of the AIDS pandemic. I commend them for their commitment. PPF continues to position itself in response to South Africa’s most urgent needs. Those needs are becoming more critical each day. We need your help... The Project People Foundation is making a difference. Join me in helping to realize God’s dream to make this world a place of compassion, of caring, of sharing. Our sisters and brothers are hurting. Support the outstanding work of Project People Foundation and let us realize God’s dream together."
- Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu
“It is our utmost belief that it will only be through efforts such as those of Project People Foundation that we can continue to advance the socio-economic development of our people. Through collaboration between government, the private sector and a full range of civil society formations, domestic and international, that we can successfully address the challenges we face today. We can continue to further the values espoused by the iconic Nelson Mandela, in turning this into a better world to live in.”
- George Monyemangene, South Africa Consul General
